There are 11 pits throughout the site.
The Burn Brigade we’re Jews forced to gather the corpses and burn the evidence. They were able to dig a tunnel from the burning pit, and some made it to freedom.
Looking around, and adding to the many piles, I hope we can reach all 70,000 with commemorative stones.
